It is always wonderful when new research is done into Dyscalculia. Supported by a federal grant from the ministry of education, we have a new study available this week. Spoiler alert, here is the conclusion (but please take time to read the whole article):

We conclude that dyscalculic children show large individual differences in brain activation patterns. Nonetheless, the majority of dyscalculic children can be differentiated from controls employing brain activation patterns when appropriate methods are used.
