Dyscalculia: News from the web:
Here is a student who explains some good tips and work arounds when you have dyscalculia and need to do college algebra. Best tip I find is this:
Review a little every day. Even if it’s 10 minutes. I forget math so easily. My test scores went form %25 last week to %70 this week. All I’m doing is going back and reading my notes for 15 minutes before homework. You can see that I have copied and pasted some of the same notes from the previous problem. This helps me recognize patterns. I’m understanding so much more than I had. Even if you don’t understand it, being exposed to the same material over and over and over again will eventually put it in your memory. That’s what I’m telling myself anyway.
