An online Dyscalculia Awareness Training

Just launched one of our contributions to bringing awareness of Dyscalculia to all. Mainly educators and parents need to be aware of Dyscalculia and act as soon as they think a child may have a learning disability or specifically Dyscalculia.

Do the awareness training, fully online, five modules and a little test and you can get your certificate from the Dyscalculia Training Center.

The makers of the SLOW watch from Switzerland found accidentally that people with Dyscalculia can read the time more easily than on other watches. Not that they had designed it this way but it just is a nice extra to offer.

The other side of the coin

Today a good reminder from Rocket City Mom that when our children get diagnosed with a condition we tend to focus solely on the challenges this will bring. But there is always the other side of the coin (or medal) with opportunities and strengths that the child also has and develops. A good encouragement to focus on that part of the issue for a change.
